Putting!
Am I the only person struggling with the putting? There doesn't seem to be an adequate frame of reference for moving the mouse to equate to the force of the putt. Half the time my putts dribble to a stall halfway to the cup, the next I'm overshooting by 10 feet..
I realize that there is slope, that's not my point. There just does not seem to be sufficient elements in the interface to be able to imply proper force.

No one else has problems with the putting??

Not to any bigger extent anymore, nowadays mostly when it's lagging or due to bad focus

Although, I had big problems with putting for a long time... guess I was to damn stubborn, trying to find the perfect putting sensitivity for all putting lengths. My breakthrough appeared as I got a great advice, to use mid-mid tempo for the putting stroke - together with using different putting sensitivity for different distances.
Try out what suit you
use a practice stroke and keep eye on vertical power bar

then u can see how hard u will hit it u should when u gauge this have right length to hole...
in perfect condition.. ie flat :) so then u adjust per gradient

at first it was tricky but i am at least reasonable at it now :)
oh just looked at your profile... charles

u played many at holmsund... that is a v hard putting course !
unless u want the pain :) maybe try other flatter course greens to get good then take the challenge :)

try ronnes perhaps! either that or arland lol
Charles....

Nope - you won't be the first or last person here to 'struggle' with putting - it's difficult!!

Just before Xmas, the putting was made more realistic by the team - before that, putting was quite significantly more easy, with practically any fast putt that hit the hole going in.

Since then, putting has become more realistic, and harder as a result!

Putts rolling half way to the cup suggests that your putting sensitivity may need to be changed. Mine is currently set to 2.0

The putting sensitivity is set in 'in-game' options menu. You can fine tune your putting sensitivity on the putting green on the range, as well as on course.

Hope this helps - and sorry if you knew this already!
Oh, and btw...

ehasute is quite right about Holmsund - there are at times some particularly difficult pin positions on some very slopey greens.

Having said that, the same can be said at times for McIntosh. Some slopey greens with some tough pin positions.....
Just like real golf putting is the major challenge.
i agree with you charles, the putting is extremely spiratic at times i hit to far or to short, there needs to be a better gauge for force, and angle\
but at the same time it is suppose to simulate real golf and if you've ever played golf you know it isnt easy to putt
for controled putting distance you might try using your putter speed settings for each putt !! with an easy and same back swing for each putt - try a setting of 1.1 for 1 meter -1.2 for 2 meters - and so on ! it's very similar to how the pro's do it in real life using 1 inch back swing for 1 ft - 2inches for 2 ft and so on with same stroke !
